Andrew Jones is a self-taught painter from Lawrence, Kansas. He loves to make statements. Occasionally he makes oaths. Over the course of the last six years, Andrew has painted a variety of things, from primitive figures to birds to abstracts to... well… primitive abstract bird-figures. These days he paints mostly on pieces of found wood, employing assorted mediums including acrylics, oil pastels, crayons, ball-point pens and mixed-media, the latter simply a fancy way of saying he utilizes found photographs and things he clips out of old books. He also uses varnish, and makes quite a mess with it.
